Niche and Nuance Uploader Privacy Policy

This policy covers Niche and Nuance Uploader, a desktop tool made and used by Niche & Nuance Studio to upload and schedule its own videos to its own YouTube channels.

YouTube API Services

Niche and Nuance Uploader uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).

What information the tool accesses

  • A Google sign-in token, so the tool can act for the signed-in channel owner. It asks only for permission to upload videos (youtube.upload) and to view the channel (youtube.readonly).
  • The signed-in channel's name and ID, used only to confirm the right channel.
  • The details of the videos it uploads (title, description, tags, privacy setting, scheduled time, and the video ID YouTube returns).

How it is used, stored and shared

  • Used only to upload and schedule the channel owner's own videos.
  • The sign-in token is stored only on the channel owner's own computer, in a file readable only by that user. A local list of uploaded video IDs is kept so nothing is uploaded twice.
  • Nothing is sent to any server other than Google's. No information is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
  • The tool does not use cookies and does not collect information about viewers or other YouTube users.

Removing access and deleting data

You can remove the tool's access at any time from your Google Account's security settings: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Once access is removed, the tool can no longer reach your account. To delete stored data, delete the sign-in file (~/.nn_youtube_token.json) and the tool's upload list from your computer, or email us and we will confirm deletion within 7 days. Any data obtained through YouTube API Services is not kept longer than 30 days without being refreshed.
